Our story begins with Henry Schueler…

Henry Schueler was a bright, athletic, and spirited young man whose life changed when he was diagnosed with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). Through every treatment and setback, Henry showed remarkable courage and resilience.

Friends and family remember his determination, kindness, and sense of humor—qualities that inspired the phrase that became his mantra: Stay Strong.

Though Henry’s life was cut short, his legacy lives on in the Foundation created in his name. Every project we pursue carries forward his strength and hope for a brighter future.

The Meaning of Stay Strong

“Stay Strong” began as Henry’s personal encouragement during his fight with leukemia. It soon became a rallying cry for his family, friends, teammates, and community.

Bracelets, t-shirts, and signs carried the phrase, reminding everyone touched by Henry’s journey to meet challenges with courage and perseverance. Today, Stay Strong is more than a phrase—it’s a movement that fuels the Foundation’s work and inspires everyone who supports our mission.

“Stay Strong – We’re going to beat this thing.

how the foundation works

Inspired by the life and wishes of Henry Schueler, our Foundation was created to make a lasting impact for the 3,000+ children diagnosed with high-risk acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) each year. ALL is the most common type of childhood cancer, most often affecting children under 5. Thanks to research, survival rates have greatly improved, now reaching 89%.
